Casework provides the foundation of VALREC’s work. It is where we engage directly with community members, businesses and individuals who have suffered from discrimination and hate crime across all equality mandates. We provide advice, support and can in some case provide representation.
Our clients can contact us directly, we also have referral processes in place with South Wales Police, Gwent Police, Local Authorities, Schools and we work partnership with the voluntary sector.
Our work would be impossible without the diversity of people with different skills, experiences and backgrounds, that we have within the office and who all are all committed to providing help to each other and the communities we serve.
Our reactive casework gives us an insight into the real issues hurting our communities. This helps us identifies needs, and sometimes potential partners to engage in proactive preventative work. As we are both reactive and proactive we contribute to the greater community cohesion that strengthens our society.
If you have been bullied, harassed or discriminated for any reason? We can help by offering advice, support and advocate on your behalf. Please get in touch by Uploading our referral form:
